The five original members of the rock band Aerosmith (Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Joey Kramer, and Tom Hamilton) lived on the second story of this building in the early 1970s.  It was here “The Bad Boys of Boston” began their remarkable careers.  “Movin’ Out,” a track on their self-titled debut album, was written about moving out of this apartment.  Known for their oversized personalities and combustible stage performances of blues-tinged hard rock, Aerosmith went on to become one of American’s most influential rock and roll bands and achieved international success.
